you will need to download and install the rovi totalcode plug-in. this is a $350 plug-in, but it is the only one that seems to handle hdv footage. hdv is a 4:3 recording format, so it has a par of 1.333. you will also need to install the sony pmw-f5 aftermarket plug-in. this is not free, but it is a small price to pay to get hdv footage from your camera into adobe premiere pro.
