al-tirmidhi said that we should teach the meaning of muna and adha to children, for they are still immature in understanding and in understanding the consequences of it. so, we should focus on them and teach them the meanings of these two feasts while they are still immature because they may not be able to understand these two facts. also because of their immaturity in understanding. after they grow up, it is permissible to teach them the meaning of these two feasts.
our companion rukhsana-wa-imam , allah be pleased with her, and the muhaddith al-madinah, ibn batuta al-makki, said that it is considered as makrooh, for the companions, to spend any time to teach the meaning of muna and adha to children. what is the concern of spending time to teach these two feasts to them? it is related that the prophet, sal allahu alayhi wa salam, said: “teach them the meaning of muna and adha and teach them the meaning of jihad.” (ibn majah).
without any impact on the way people practice tasawwuf, we should use this information, to control or to direct tasawwuf what we think its supposed to be, and to stop it from being inconsistent or contrary to the qur’an or sunnah..you do what you like with your tasawwuf.
for the following objective is to present certain ideas of tasawwuf, to direct it in a certain direction, and to make it respected by the people. for tasawwuf should be a complete way of life, meaning in the worldly as well as in the spiritual; and from it, there should emanate an influence for the improvement of the character of the community. thus, with the help of tasawwuf, one can easily make progress towards the total perfection, and in addition, this advancement will also lead to the satisfaction of the worldly life. as a matter of fact, without spiritual values and influences, the life of this world is not worth living. with the help of tasawwuf, the level of purity is enhanced, honesty is practiced, and the love of islam is enhanced, which is the most important thing, because this is the basis for the well-being of the community. therefore, if one is going to say that its useless, and that we do not need it, he will certainly be mistaken.
